The Sports Business Journal put together the spring game attendance numbers for every AQ conference (hey, we can only use that term for a couple more years), including the Big 12.

Texas led the way in the Big 12 with 46,000, the fourth-most in the nation. The Longhorns were behind only Ohio State, Alabama and Penn State.

Here's how the Big 12 ranked.
  • 1. Texas -- 46,000
  • 2. Oklahoma -- 20,509
  • 3. Kansas State -- 18,048
  • 4. Kansas -- 15,000
  • 5. Oklahoma State -- 11,000
  • 6. West Virginia -- 8,000
  • 7. Iowa State -- 5,000
  • 8. Texas Tech -- 3,000
  • 9. Baylor -- 2,750

TCU did not have a spring game open to the public.

Pretty thin numbers there at the end, though Baylor doesn't hold its game at its stadium. Traditionally, it does a carnival-type event at the practice facility on campus.

The most impressive number to me? Kansas' 15,000. That's pretty staggering, and equals the total at Texas A&M's spring game, too.

Nice showing from Kansas State, too.
