So just how similar are Case and Colt McCoy?
Well check out the stats from their first starts:
In 2006 Colt was 12-of-19 for 178 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions.
Case was 12-of-15 for 168 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions against UCLA.
And both of them threw a touchdown on their second throw of the game.
Off the field, look for the board of regents to give UT president Bill Powers the power to do what he believes is necessary as far as conference realignment when that groups meets via teleconference today.
Now that doesn’t mean Texas will be a member of the Pac-16. It means Powers now can negotiate and make the moves necessary to assure that Texas is in the best possible position as it pertains to realignment.
Basically the regents are putting their faith in him to do what is best for the university’s sports programs.
