Longhorn Network now on AT&T U-verse

August, 31, 2012
AUSTIN, Texas -- The Longhorn Network has found another outlet.

And just in time. AT&T U-verse and LHN have reached an agreement that will allow the television provider to broadcast the 24/7 channel that is devoted to University of Texas athletics.

The deal comes on the eve of Texas’ season opener against Wyoming. U-Verse customers will be able to watch the game at 7 p.m. Saturday. The pregame show starts at 5 p.m. on LHN.

“We know fans are passionate about watching Longhorn football, and we’re thrilled to offer Longhorn Network to U-verse TV customers in Texas and nationwide,” Jeff Weber, President of Content and Advertising Services, AT&T Home Solutions said in a press release. “This is another example of how we continue to deliver the content customers want.”

The Longhorn Network, which celebrated its first year in operation this week, is also slated to carry Texas’ game against New Mexico on Sept. 8.
