Texas had some catching up to do when it came to Chris Hardeman (Houston/Alief Taylor), but the 2014 cornerback enjoyed his trip to Austin and thought he made a big impression on secondary coach Duane Akina.
“It was cool. Coach Akina is a real cool coach and I like his philosophy,” Hardeman said. “Getting out there and competing was the biggest reason I came, and I definitely competed.”
Hardeman already holds offers from LSU, Texas A&M, Baylor, Texas Tech and nearly a dozen other schools, and Akina made it clear Texas is interested.
