When the Longhorns come out of the tunnel at the Frank Erwin Center next season the back end of the warm-up line will look entirely different than it did last season.
You might have to strain your neck a bit to notice.
Thanks to Texas’ incoming recruiting class, which is ranked No. 4 by ESPN, the Longhorns will have three players above 6-foot-10 on their roster.
The biggest and perhaps most important of those lengthy recruits officially became a Longhorn on Wednesday when Cameron Ridley, the No. 8 player in the ESPNU 100, signed his letter of intent.
“That's what we have been talking about. What would it be like for a 2-3 defense,” Lammert said. “That would be pretty unstoppable with three 6-10 guys. Cameron is 6-10, maybe 6-11. Prince is huge. With that lineup, I could play the three. It could be a national championship caliber lineup.”
No one is more excited about that interior than incoming point guard Javan Felix (New Orleans, St. Augustine). Ok, well maybe Myck Kabongo, who didn’t have a post player to consistently dump the ball to last season.
