Personality belies playing style for Lanfear

BUDA, Texas -- Connor Lanfear knew his prayers were going to be answered when Texas offensive line coach Stacy Searles pulled him aside during camp.

Even two weeks later, Lanfear still finds himself replaying these moments in his head. The glee is uncontainable and is not wearing off.

“He said to me, ‘Connor, do you want to be a Longhorn?’ ” Lanfear recalled. “I said, yes sir, yes I do. And he said, ‘All right. We’ll be talking pretty soon.’ The whole time, I was trying to contain myself.”
