Texas Longhorns: UCLA Bruins
Now that spring ball has started, ESPN 150 defensive tackle Gerald Willis III has been inundated with interest from college recruiters visiting New Orleans Edna Karr High School. He expected that.
That’s why, even if he’s comfortable with naming his top four schools, his list remains a fluid one. New schools are working hard to get in the mix, and Willis is ready to hit the road for more visits this summer.

Want to know where Solomon Thomas (Coppell, Texas/Coppell) will end up? Good luck with that.
Truth is, the ESPN Watch List defensive end is wide open with his recruiting process -- and by “wide open,” that doesn’t mean, in this case, that he has a favorite but is keeping it under wraps.

ATHENS, Ga. -- ESPN Watch List wide receiver Demarre Kitt (Tyrone, Ga./Sandy Creek) recently cut his mammoth offer list down to a top-15 group of schools that he will consider.
“It got crazy at one point with almost everybody that offered me trying to talk to me,” Kitt said. “So I had to cut my list down to 15 schools. After spring practice I will cut it down to eight or 10. At the end of summer I will do five and then go from there.”

Peyton Barber finds himself in a bit of a win-win situation.
While the Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton four-star running back is perfectly content with being committed to Ole Miss, he’s still grateful for the opportunity to take official visits this month and ensure the choice he made in July was the right one.

Streeter Lecka/Getty ImagesAlabama, with three of the past four national titles, is No. 1 in the Way-Too-Early Top 25 for 2013.There's still seven months before the start of the 2013 season, and the teams and their order figure to change frequently, but it's never too early to take a look at the Way-Too-Early Top 25 for 2013.
And with three national championships in the past four years, there's no reason to change the team that's on top. Texas, with plenty of talent returning, is 11th in the rankings.

Quarterback David Cornwell (Jones, Okla./Jones) came out of nowhere to have an exceptional junior season and is now unquestionably one of the top in-state prospects for the Class of 2014.
Problem is, though, neither Oklahoma nor in-state power Oklahoma State have shown much interest. Cornwell camped at OU and had good contact with former OSU quarterbacks coach Todd Monken.
With Monken’s departure to become the Southern Mississippi head coach combined with little interest from OU quarterbacks coach Josh Heupel thus far, right now it looks like one of the state’s best prospects will have to look elsewhere.

SAN ANTONIO -- Wednesday was a day off for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl teams. Instead of working out and participating in drills, the players took in visits around the city -- including a stop at the Alamodome for photo opportunities and to see their game apparel -- and used the day to recover from two days of practice.
The teams will return to the fields on Thursday in arguably the most important practice of the week. Here are five things to keep an eye on for Thursday’s practice:

When Caleb Benenoch (Katy, Texas/Seven Lakes) decommitted from Michigan State in June, he did so because he wants to play his college ball closer to home.
After enjoying a long and winding recruiting process since that decision, Benenoch announced on Monday that he’s settled on a new destination: UCLA.
The school may not be any closer to Katy, but the four-star guard prospect fell in love with the Bruins and became their 20th verbal commitment. He chose UCLA over Baylor and also seriously considered Texas, Oklahoma and Texas A&M.

After taking an official visit to UCLA last weekend, Caleb Benenoch (Katy, Texas/Seven Lakes) is one step closer to reaching his decision.
The four-star offensive lineman is down to Texas, Oklahoma, Baylor and UCLA as his final four choices. He made the trip to Los Angeles for the Bruins’ 35-17 loss to Stanford but came away thoroughly impressed.
“It was a lot of fun,” Benenoch said. “I got to hang out with players like Simon Goines. He’s from Keller, Texas, so we had a lot to talk about since we’re both Texas guys. Their center is also a Texas guy, and there were lots of people I can relate to.

Q&A: 2014 TE Koda Martin talks favorite

When it comes to 2014 tight ends in the state of Texas, few have garnered more interest or offers than Koda Martin.
The Manvel junior already has ideal size at 6-foot-6 and 245 pounds, and he has picked up offers from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Baylor, Texas Tech, UCLA, as well as several other schools.
There is one issue, though: Martin doesn’t play tight end, at least not for Manvel. Despite that, the ESPN Watch List prospect has found that hasn’t slowed down his recruitment one bit.
