Q&A: ESPN 150 DT Shaw on new offers

Elisha Shaw (Tucker, Ga./Tucker) already holds offers from Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State and a handful of other big-time programs, so he wasn’t surprised to get a new offer on Monday.

He was surprised, however, that it came from Texas. The ESPN 150 defensive tackle met with Texas offensive line coach Stacy Searels on Monday and could look into checking out what the Longhorns have to offer this summer.

A new school has entered the top five of safety Kameron Miles (Mesquite, Texas/West Mesquite).

The four-star defensive back picked up an offer from Penn State on Friday, and the Nittany Lions have moved into his final list of schools. A 6-foot-2, 205-pound safety, Miles said Penn State’s football prestige and its fresh start from past turmoil makes it an intriguing offer.

ESPNU 150 Watch List defensive tackle Justin Manning (Dallas/Kimball) still has a few hours to answer the big question: Texas A&M or LSU?

Manning has been invited to College Station, Texas, to visit Texas A&M on Saturday. The 6-foot-2, 275-pound tackle said he’s also been invited to Baton Rouge, La., to watch LSU spring game, also on Saturday.

So which school will he attend this weekend?

Thursday's Under Armour All-America Game (7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN/ESPN3) will include verbal commitments from six top prospects.

Headlining the group is five-star safety Landon Collins (Geismar, La./Dutchtown). Collins (6-foot, 210 pounds) officially lists his finalists as Alabama, LSU, Tennessee and Texas, though most feel this is a Tigers vs. Tide battle.

ESPNU 150 athlete Cyrus Jones (Baltimore/Gilman), the nation's No. 5 athlete and No. 33 overall prospect in the Class of 2012, will be selecting from Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State and Virginia Tech.
