Focus on '14: Safeties
By Sam Khan Jr.
GigEmNation is taking a weekly position-by-position look at the 2014 recruiting class as it relates to Texas A&M, whom the Aggies are targeting, as well as 2013 commits and who on the roster will graduate. Today, we look at the safety position.
Jamal Adams, Lewisville (Texas) Hebron: The 6-foot, 195-pound Adams is an ESPN Watch List member. He has an offer from the Aggies, as well as from others like Baylor, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas and West Virginia.
John Bonney, Houston Lamar: The 6-0, 175 Bonney has three offers so far -- Baylor, Houston and SMU. He hasn't received an offer from A&M yet, but the Aggies have invited him to games. He attended the Arkansas game and is also receiving interest from Oklahoma and LSU.
Edwin Freeman, Arlington (Texas) Bowie: The ESPN Watch List prospect, who stands 6-1, 200, has Texas A&M in his early top three. The Aggies were the first program to offer him, and he also likes Texas and Oklahoma, both of which have offered. Houston, Nebraska, Ohio State and West Virginia have offered Freeman as well.
Brandon Simmons, Arlington (Texas) Timberview: Simmons has 30 offers and Texas A&M is one of them. The 6-0, 170 Simmons is an ESPN Watch List member. LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, USC and West Virginia are among the teams that have offered Simmons.
