July, 13, 2012
Texas A&M has added another defensive player to its 2013 class.

The Aggies scored their 24th commitment of the class when they received a pledge from linebacker Edward Williams (New Orleans/Warren Easton) on Friday while on campus for an unofficial visit, according to his mother, Rose Williams.

The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Williams also had offers from Michigan, Arizona, Arizona State, Mississippi State and Oregon State among a host of others according to his mother. He is the third commitment in July for the Aggies, joining Hardreck Walker (Houston/Westfield) and Darian Claiborne (Port Allen, La./Port Allen). All three are on the defensive side of the ball.

Williams is the fourth linebacker in the class, joining Claiborne, Reggie Chevis (Houston/Sharpstown), and Brett Wade (Kennedale, Texas/Kennedale). The Aggies now have 13 commitments on the defensive side of the ball.
