GigEmNation is counting down the top five moments of Texas A&M’s 2012 season this week. No. 2 ...

Johnny Manziel's "Heisman moment" may have come against Alabama, but one of the most memorable plays -- and one that really showcased his athletic ability -- came in the shootout win against Louisiana Tech.

With the Aggies leading 53-44 and stuck with an ugly third-and-24 at their own 28-yard line, they a counter play for Manziel to the right side. The rest, as they say, is history.

The redshirt freshman quarterback found a hole, burst through it and sprinted 72 yards for a touchdown. The call by ESPN play-by-play broadcaster Joe Davis said it all:
"Manziel trying to put an end to it. Johnny Football! With a night to remember! Touchdown Texas A&M!"

It was a night to remember for Manziel. He set the single-game record for total offensive yards by an SEC player (a record he broke earlier in the season). He finished with 576 total offensive yards: 395 passing and 181 rushing.

The Aggies hung on to win 59-57.

The play was similar to one they ran two weeks prior against Arkansas. The first time they ran the "quarterback counter," Manziel gained 52 yards in the first quarter against the Razorbacks.
