High school highlights: Oct. 22

Each week, GigEmNation takes a look some of the top performances from Texas A&M 2013 commits on the field from the previous weekend's action. Here's a glance at some of the best performances from the weekend of Oct. 18-20:

Tavares Garner, Manvel (Texas) High School: The cornerback had an interception and returned it 17 yards in the Mavericks' 70-3 blowout win over Pasadena (Texas) High School. For the season, Garner has a team-high three interceptions.

LaQuvionte Gonzalez, Cedar Hill (Texas) High School: Gonzalez had seven carries for 129 yards and four touchdowns in the Longhorns' 68-7 win over Grand Prairie (Texas) High School.

Kenny Hill, Southlake (Texas) Carroll: The quarterback was 17-of-24 passing or 296 yards and three touchdowns and no interceptions in a 45-0 win over Justin (Texas) Northwest. He also led his team in rushing with eight carries for 83 yards and two touchdowns.

Alex Sezer, Orange (Texas) Little Cypress-Mauriceville: The running back led the Bears to key 21-15 win over Beaumont (Texas) Ozen. Sezer had 34 carries for 183 yards and a touchdown. It marked the sixth consecutive 100-yard rushing performance for Sezer. He's now over 1,000 rushing yards on the season (1,027) after seven games.

James White, Pearland (Texas) Dawson: The running back had 21 carries for 201 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles' 33-7 win over Baytown (Texas) Lee. It was White's second consecutive 200-yard performance and he's now over 1,000 yards for the year (1,076).
