Texas A&M redshirt freshman defensive back Kenneth Marshall has been suspended indefinitely following an arrest earlier this week.

Marshall was arrested on and charged with possession of between two and four ounces of marijuana and possession of a dangerous drug -- both misdemeanors -- on Tuesday morning, according to Brazos County, Texas, jail records. He was released later that afternoon on $8,000 bond.

The 6-foot, 191-pound Marshall is suspended indefinitely from all athletic activities, per athletic department policy according to Texas A&M associate athletic director Alan Cannon.

The story was first reported by the Bryan-College Station Eagle.

It's Marshall's second arrest since joining the Aggies. He was arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana (0-2 ounces) on Nov. 29, 2012 and was sentenced to one year probation and 60 hours of community service according to court records.

Marshall has not played a game for the Aggies since signing with them in February 2012. A three-star recruit out of South Houston (Texas) High School, Marshall was the 43rd-ranked safety in the nation in the 2012 recruiting class. He redshirted his first season with the Aggies and was not a part of the 105-man roster during training camp in August prior to this season.

The "dangerous drug" Marshall was charged with possession of was or 20.9 grams, or 32 pills, of Buproprion, a prescription drug which is used to treat depression or help someone quit smoking, according to The Eagle.
