Exceptional production has been one of the hallmarks for one of the top prospects on Oklahoma’s list for the 2014 class. Yet his high school coach is confident the 2014 Sooners offer has plenty of upside when he begins suit up on Saturdays.

Oklahoma and Texas A&M are getting awfully familiar with each other here lately. The Aggies broke the hearts of Sooners fans by landing the commitment of ESPN 150 defensive tackle Justin Manning (Dallas/Kimball) two weeks ago.
OU returned the favor by getting three-star defensive tackle Kerrick Huggins (Dallas/Skyline) to flip to the Sooners from the Aggies.
OU basketball got a leg up on A&M with a 64-54 win in Oklahoma City last weekend. Oh yeah, there’s also the Cotton Bowl coming up Jan. 4 at Cowboys Stadium.

When it comes to junior college prospects, Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin has always been open to the idea of sprinkling a few into his recruiting classes.
He did so when he was the head coach at Houston and is continuing that trend at Texas A&M. While at Houston, the Cougars signed at least a pair of junior college prospects in each of Sumlin's final three signing classes.
At Texas A&M, Sumlin closed out the 2012 class by picking up a pair -- cornerback Tremaine Jacobs and receiver Derel Walker -- and has three more committed in the 2013 class, with the possibility of acquiring one more. Wednesday marks the first day that mid-year junior college transfers can sign a national letter of intent and all three of the below names will be officially joining the Aggies then (*-denotes returning starter):

For months, Watch List linebacker Cameron Hampton (Dallas/Carter) has said OU is his favorite school and Sooners linebackers coach Tim Kish is his favorite coach.
And then he took an unofficial visit to Texas A&M last weekend. Now it’s the Aggies out in front and Kevin Sumlin who is his favorite coach. The recruiting momentum for A&M is simply not coming to a stop anytime soon.
“He came down a week before, and it was a great visit,” Hampton said. “He gives it to you straight up where he sees you fit and how much he wants you. He thinks I can play a major role in his defense. He’s now my No. 1 coach on my list. The visit there was great, because I knew so many of the players already.”

Rockwall (Texas) Heath defensive end Jay Arnold has made his fair share of trips to College Station, Texas. So his official visit to Texas A&M over the weekend didn't bring much by way of new experiences.
What it did bring that made Arnold happy was food.
"I had a great time," Arnold said. "The food was amazing. That was probably the best part, just getting to eat all the time. They fed us so much."

Two on top early for 2015 RB Anderson

Katy (Texas) High School 2015 running back Rodney Anderson has no qualms with taking a backseat on his team this season. He knows his time is coming.
Adam Taylor might be the Tigers’ feature back, but Anderson has rushed for 900 yards and 16 touchdowns this season. Not bad for a sophomore.
And Anderson is already drawing plenty of attention from colleges thus far. While he’s yet to pick up his first offer, some big programs have shown they’re interested.

Less than a week from the early junior college signing period, and it’s a crazy time for recruits and coaches.
That’s no exception for Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College and coach Rion Rhoades. But there is one recruit he doesn’t have to worry about in three-star outside linebacker Kenny Flowers.
Flowers, who is 6-foot-2 and 228 pounds, committed to Texas A&M last month and is eager to sign with the Aggies, said Rhoades.

Watch List TE Koda Martin talks top two

HOUSTON -- ESPN Watch List tight end Koda Martin won't be attending the AT&T Cotton Bowl, but he'll be watching it closely. So closely that the Manvel (Texas) High School tight end joked with coaches from the Oklahoma and Texas A&M's staffs that the winner of the game would also be the winner of his services.
"It'll be a great game," Martin said. "I told both sets of recruiting coaches that whoever won, I'd commit to, just as a joke, kind of like flipping a coin. It'll be a good game and it'll be fun to watch."
While Martin meant the comment in jest, he is serious about those two schools. The Sooners and the Aggies are his top two at the moment and it appears he'll choose between the two when making the decision on his college destination.
