Watch List WR completely shakes up top 5

By Jared Shanker

A Watch List receiver has a new top five, and only one program from his original five finalists still finds itself among the favorite.

Springfield (Ohio) receiver Thaddeus Snodgrass wrote in a text message that Kentucky, Louisville, Penn State, South Carolina and West Virginia make up his new top group.

The Wildcats hosted the 6-foot, 180-pound Watch List prospect for a visit in February, and Snodgrass is returning to Lexington on Saturday for the basketball team’s regular-season finale.

Louisville offered Snodgrass last weekend. The offer came in a handwritten letter from Cardinals coach Charlie Strong.

South Carolina offered a little less than a month ago, and when West Virginia offered Thursday, Snodgrass immediately put the Mountaineers among his favorites.

Penn State was in Snodgrass’ final group in October when he originally planned to make a commitment. The Nittany Lions were joined by Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Wisconsin.
