2016 defensive end has more offers

By Dave Hooker

Rahshaun Smith has two more scholarship offers to consider. One could be historic.

The freshman from Towson (Md.) Calvert Hall picked up offers from Connecticut and Penn State this weekend.

"Really an honor to have those two schools," the linebacker said. "I worked hard this season. I was the first freshman in Penn State history to get an offer so that was an honor."

Clearly, Penn State has impressed Smith.

"Their tradition there," Smith said when asked what stood out about the Nittany Lions. "How they had a successful season even after the situation they went through. It showed a lot, how a team sticks together and pulls it out."

Smith now has seven scholarship offers.
