Parker Cothren (Hazel Green, Ala./Hazel Green) is now set to become a Nittany Lion.
The two-star defensive tackle confirmed in a text late Tuesday night that he decommitted from Purdue and committed to Penn State shortly after his official visit this past weekend. He said he was won over by Penn State's atmosphere and the bond he felt with defensive line coach Larry Johnson.
The 6-foot-4, 250-pound prospect becomes the 13th commitment of the Class of 2013, and he's the first defensive tackle to pledge to PSU.
