Parker Cothren (Hazel Green, Ala./Hazel Green) didn't know his older brother submitted his senior season film to Penn State last Monday -- but he was certainly pleased with the result.

Four days after sending the tape, the defensive tackle was called out of his Physics class and told to report to the field house. The Purdue commit was already aware of Penn State's interest, but he didn't expect his coach to call up Bill O'Brien, who extended a scholarship offer after reviewing that film.

"I had my hopes up a bit," Cothren said. "But it was still a surprise they offered me because it happened so quick. I just told them thank you and that I'd have to talk it over with my family."
