One month ago, cornerback Anthony Smith (Randolph, N.J./Valley Forge Military) said he would've immediately dismissed any talk of one day becoming a Nittany Lion.

Reese Strickland/US PresswirePSU head coach Bill O'Brien offered Anthony Smith on Saturday, and Smith pledged on Sunday.
He never spoke with an FBS school, garnered only FCS offers and never imagined playing in Beaver Stadium -- until PSU emailed his coach in November. And after those whirlwind two weeks culminated in an official visit this weekend, where he commited to PSU, the postgraduate student couldn't be happier with how his recruitment played out.

He becomes the 16th commitment of Penn State's 2013 class and joins Jordan Smith (Washington D.C./HD Woodson) as the only cornerbacks. He committed during breakfast Sunday and, like Jordan, will enroll in January.
