Three-star DB Campbell picks Penn State

February, 3, 2014
Penn State has been on a roll, picking up eight commitments in a few short weeks since coach James Franklin took over. That number went up on Monday with yet another commitment for the Nittany Lions.

Three-star defensive back Christian Campbell (Phenix City, Ala./Central) committed to Penn State, giving the Nittany Lions 25 commitments for the Class of 2014.

Campbell was offered by Franklin and his staff on Monday and didn’t waste any time in making a decision. The 6-foot, 179-pound defensive back also had offers from Minnesota, Missouri and Indiana.

While he was only recently offered, Campbell says that Franklin had been in contact for awhile.

Campbell gives Penn State six defensive back commits for its 2014 class, an excellent haul for defensive depth and competition. With 25 commitments on board, the Nittany Lions coaching staff can sit back and relax on national signing day knowing they will have an outstanding class of prospects to develop.
