OSU Buckeyes: christopher worley
Throughout the next few months, BuckeyeNation will look further into those juniors offered by Ohio State. We’ll give as much detail as we can and go behind the scenes to see why these Class of 2014 standouts are so attractive to the Buckeyes. First on the list is outside linebacker Sam Hubbard, who is actively recruiting the Class of 2014 for the Buckeyes.
Vitals: Hubbard (Cincinnati/Moeller) is 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds.
Status: He committed to Ohio State on April 5.

When reached via text message, Malik Jefferson (Mesquite, Texas/Poteet) didn’t have much to say about his offer from Ohio State.
Then again, the exclamation point said plenty.

Winning is good business, especially when it comes to Ohio State and recruiting.
While many of the top athletes in the Class of 2014 have pointed to the Buckeyes being the only undefeated football team in Division I as a reason to look at the university, it goes beyond the gridiron.
In fact, it can rest on the hardwood as well, as the Ohio State men’s basketball team won the Big Ten Tournament for the third time in four years. In doing so, the Buckeyes locked up a No. 2 seed in the NCAA tournament.

We’ll give as much detail as we can and go behind the scenes to see why these class of 2014 standouts are so attractive to the Buckeyes. First on the list of inside linebackers is Raekwon McMillan, who is no stranger to the Buckeyes as he’s been on several unofficial visits.
Vitals: McMillan (Hinesville, Ga./Liberty County) is 6-foot-2 and 234 pounds.

After signing two ESPN 150 linebackers in four-star seniors Trey Johnson (Lawrenceville, Ga./Central Gwinnett) and Mike Mitchell (Plano, Texas/Prestonwood Christian) and adding three-star Christopher Worley (Cleveland/Glenville), Ohio State certainly isn’t showing signs of letting up.

We can almost put a bow on the 2013 recruiting class -- punter Johnny Townsend has not signed his letter of intent and is apparently having second thoughts -- and it was one of the best recruiting classes in school history.
The Buckeyes signed 24 players and finished third in the ESPN class rankings behind SEC powers Alabama and Florida, with 19 of the 24 signees at four stars or more.
Here's a recap of how the day unfolded. Follow the live blog after the jump.

Ohio State has tapped into the Cleveland Glenville pipeline twice in the last month, could there be a third?
The Buckeyes offered yet another Tarblooder and this one came in an up-and-coming safety with five offers from Division-I programs.

Ohio State’s linebacker situation regarding the class of 2013 is no longer an issue. The defensive backfield received a nice pickup as well from the class of 2014.
When outside linebacker Christopher Worley gave his yes to the school on Friday during an official visit, and cornerback Damon Webb did the same Sunday on an unofficial one, many questions were answered.
Vonn Bell didn’t walk away with a commitment, but the news coming out of Columbus, Ohio wasn’t bad as the ESPN 150 safety really liked his visit and has the Buckeyes still in the mix.

Ohio State’s big recruiting weekend began with Christopher Worley (Cleveland/Glenville) literally stepping on campus and committing to the Buckeyes.
It ended with Damon Webb (Detroit/Cass Tech) becoming the second commitment from the class of 2014.
What it did more than anything, however, was answer some lingering questions.

Christopher Worley (Cleveland/Glenville) set the tone early as a senior in a season-opening loss to 2010 Division I state champion St. Edward.
It came on a simple counter run play by the Eagles but showed just why the three-star linebacker picked up the image of a big-time player with big-time college interest.
Now an Ohio State commit, what Worley showed that Saturday afternoon was what played out many times over the next 10 weeks.

Just a little more than a week ago, Ohio State sat with no linebackers in the class of 2013. Now the Buckeyes have three.
Three-star Christopher Worley (Cleveland/Glenville) became the 20th Tarblooder since 2002 to commit to Ohio State.
Long thought to be a Buckeyes lean, Worley made things official Friday on the first day of his official visit and became the 22nd Ohio State pledge in the class of 2013.
While he is the first Glenville product to commit to Ohio State this year, he joins offensive tackle Marcelys Jones after the junior committed to the Buckeyes on Christmas Day.
Worley had offers from Arkansas, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Michigan State, Pittsburgh and West Virginia. In the end, however, the 6-foot-3, 190-pound Worley, who also saw time at safety this season, took one official visit and that was to Columbus this weekend.
Worley joins ESPN 150 linebackers Trey Johnson (Lawrenceville, Ga./Central Gwinnett) and Mike Mitchell (Plano, Texas/Prestonwood Christian) in the class.
It also solidifies what once was thought to be a suspect unit in the class of 2013 and gives the Buckeyes a solid force at the position it so desperately needed.
Known as the defensive leader for the Tarblooders last season, Worley led Glenville to an 8-2 mark. The squad missed the playoffs largely due to the fact that Division I, Region 1 in Ohio is considered to be one of the strongest regions in the state.
As a senior, Worley had five interceptions and returned two of those picks for touchdowns. He also had 89 tackles, nine sacks and eight quarterback hurries.

By now the names should roll off the tongue regarding official visitors this weekend to the Ohio State Buckeyes.
But there are a group of unofficial visitors making their way to Columbus, Ohio, as juniors, as well. The last time an underclassman joined official visitors, it resulted in an offer, as Canton (Ohio) McKinley athlete Eric-Glover Williams was put on the Buckeyes’ board out of the class of 2015.
Here are the five juniors scheduled to come this weekend for the Buckeyes:

Ohio State is looking to have its third big recruiting weekend in the last six weeks when it hosts eight official visitors Friday through Saturday.
Like before, it’s a weekend jammed with star-quality power from the 2013 class and one the Buckeyes hope puts a bow on an already-strong class.
While commit Johnny Townsend can’t make it, a late name has been added in Mississippi State commit Corey Smith and it’s one that should bring some interest, as the former Akron (Ohio) Buchtel standout was an Ohio State fan when he was a senior.
Here’s a breakdown of who is scheduled to head to Columbus, Ohio for official visits this weekend:
