SAN ANTONIO -- Wednesday was a day off for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl teams. Instead of working out and participating in drills, the players took in visits around the city -- including a stop at the Alamodome for photo opportunities and to see their game apparel -- and used the day to recover from two days of practice.
The teams will return to the fields on Thursday in arguably the most important practice of the week. Here are five things to keep an eye on for Thursday’s practice:

SAN ANTONIO -- ESPN 300 wide receiver Tony Stevens (Orlando Fla./Evans) knows where he wants to go to school, but he’ll wait until Saturday’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl to announce it.
Florida State, Texas A&M and Ohio State are the three schools Stevens will choose from.
“I know where I want to go,” said Stevens, the No. 29 receiver and No. 207 player overall. “Basically [it came down to] how I felt when I went to the school and how they treated me.”

@TravisRockhold: Does Ohio State have a realistic chance of flipping Kenny Lacy? Is this a backup if they can’t flip David Dawson?
BN: There is a slim chance of flipping Lacy. A source very close to the situation in Phoenix said Lacy is taking his time and going on visits to see whether the Bruins are still No. 1. Lacy went on Twitter Friday morning and said “I am a man of my word, it's #bruinnation #NewBreed.” He canceled a visit to Michigan this weekend, but has a visit lined up in January with the Buckeyes. While I still think Dawson is the first choice, Lacy is no slouch at all as an offensive tackle.

In the recruiting world, they call it flipping when one school has a recruit under its wing but by signing day that athlete commits to a different university.
As the days dwindle until national signing day, attention has turned to which players Urban Meyer and Co. might roll their way in an all-important 2013 recruiting class for Ohio State.
Some look at Tony Stevens (Orlando, Fla./Evans) or Trey Johnson (Lawrenceville, Ga./Central Gwinnett). However, if odds were set, the most likely candidate is one most fans already know about.
Gareon Conley (Massillon, Ohio/Washington) has made it no secret that he wants to take visits -- whether official or unofficial -- before giving Michigan his signature.
A longtime Wolverine pledge, the cornerback has said he chose Michigan because no other big-name schools were really after him.
The Wolverines were the only visit Conley took, but now that he has interest from schools including Oregon and Ohio State he wants to see what they’re all about, even if that means he is no longer committed to Michigan.
The Ducks have shown strong interest, while Ohio State has extended an offer.

Safety Jayme Thompson (Toledo, Ohio/Central Catholic) already knew it. On Saturday, the Class of 2013 Ohio State commit saw it in the faces of some of the uncommitted recruits at the Ohio State-Nebraska game.
Big-game environments can go a long way with those weighing their options between the Buckeyes and others. While no one committed, most left with a lasting impression.

To say the least the 2013 recruiting class for the Buckeyes has gotten interesting since the last time we visited the wide receiver spot. With that in mind, here’s a look at the top five seniors -- in order -- at the position in terms of where Ohio State might stand.
1. Tony Stevens (Orlando, Fla./Evans): Ranked 22nd at his position and 173rd overall, Stevens becomes the frontrunner in the class. He announced a top five of Ohio State, Georgia, Louisville, USF and USC on his official Twitter account. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Four-star Florida State wide receiver commit Tony Stevens and his Orlando Evans teammates lost a disappointing preseason game to Jacksonville Sandalwood 29-27 on Friday night, but the talented 6-foot-4, 184-pound receiver accounted for three receptions for 49 yards and two touchdowns in only one half of action.
Stevens, whose two touchdowns went for 30 and 13 yards, said after the game that he is planning to take all five of his official visits in the fall.
"I'm going to take all of my visits because it's my senior year," Stevens said. "I know I'm going to visit Ohio State, FSU, Louisville, South Carolina and USF ... but I'm still solid to Florida State."
Stevens, whose two touchdowns went for 30 and 13 yards, said after the game that he is planning to take all five of his official visits in the fall.

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer loves speed on the edge and he dipped into the state where he became a legend Wednesday with an offer to Florida State commit Tony Stevens (Orlando, Fla./Evans).
Ranked No. 173 in the ESPN 300, Stevens said he is still committed to the Seminoles, but was taken aback by the offer from the Buckeyes.
