RB Parris Campbell Jr. gets SEC offer
By Brad Bournival
The first official offer has come for Parris Campbell Jr. (Akron, Ohio/St. Vincent-St. Mary).
And the junior running back with lightning speed picked it up from the Southeastern Conference.
Tennessee came calling with one on Tuesday and the 6-foot, 181-pound Campbell couldn’t have been happier.
“I’m just really excited,” Campbell said. “To know that big schools in the SEC want me means a lot. I have a great opportunity.”
Before the Volunteers, Ohio State showed solid interest. While the Buckeyes haven’t offered just yet, one is expected.
Campbell also has interest from Akron, Cincinnati, Indiana, Northwestern and Penn State.
He turned the heads of many coaches in the Ohio Division III state championship game this season when he carried the ball 14 times for 168 yards and scored three touchdowns in a 42-21 win over Bellevue.
