Ohio State offers ESPN Watch List DE
By Brad Bournival
Heading into Thursday, Ohio State had offers out to 10 defensive linemen on the ESPN Watch List.
Make that 11. It’s a defensive lineman with a familiar last name as well.
The latest from the Class of 2014 to receive an offer is Solomon Thomas (Coppell, Texas/Coppell), and this offer is a big one.
Thomas, who becomes the 10th defensive end offered out of the junior class and the 14th defensive lineman overall, has been on the radar for a lot of schools already.
Baylor, BYU, Clemson, Colorado, Houston, Iowa, Louisiana-Lafayette, LSU, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Stanford, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, Virginia and West Virginia have already come calling with offers.
Texas Christian, Texas Tech and USC have also expressed interest.
Thomas was part of a defense that gave up 8.2 points per game this season and recorded 80 tackles -- 14 for loss -- six sacks and two pass breakups.
