Interest is growing in Sam Mustipher
By Dave Hooker
There have been so many recruiters who have stopped by Olney (Md.) Good Counsel that it's tough to recall them all.
"Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, North Carolina, Penn State, Maryland and a few others," Sam Mustipher said when asked what schools have shown interest via coaching visits this month.
The interest in Mustipher isn't surprising. The ESPN Watch List offensive guard has 11 scholarship offers. His most recent came from Florida. Some other notables include Clemson, Ohio State and Penn State.
Mustipher appreciates the recent attention, but isn't picking favorites. That's consistent for the junior who has said he is in no hurry to announce a decision or even finalists.
"Not at this time," Mustipher said when asked if any of those recent visitors were standing out from the pack. "I will be taking more visits during the spring."
Mustipher has expressed strong interest in Ohio State and Penn State. He has visited both schools. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound prospect said he plans to visit Notre Dame, Clemson, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
