2015 ATH Eric Glover-Williams nabs offers
By Brad Bournival
The name Eric Glover-Williams (Canton, Ohio/McKinley) isn’t a secret in many recruiting circles. After Friday, the 5-foot-10, 155-pound sophomore’s legend got a lot bigger.
He’s in Columbus, Ohio, this weekend on an unofficial visit and he’s there with an Ohio State offer in pocket.
The dual-threat quarterback, who has garnered the athlete tag in recruiting, confirmed the Buckeyes' offer as well as one from Nebraska in a text message Friday afternoon.
Incidentally, the Cornhuskers beat Ohio State to the punch with an offer. Glover-Williams already has interest from Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Oregon, Syracuse, West Virginia and UCLA.
As a sophomore, Glover-Williams rushed for 1,810 yards and 22 scores on 243 attempts and was 75-of-154 passing for 1,114 yards with 12 touchdowns.
He led McKinley to an 8-3 mark this season before bowing out in the Division I regional semifinals.
Two of his losses came to regional runner-up Massillon Washington. Glover-Williams combined for 566 all-purpose yards and 10 scores in those defeats.
