Glenville four give Buckeyes a thumbs-up
By Brad Bournival
Marcelys Jones (Cleveland/Glenville) doesn’t mind being the mouth of the Tarblooders quartet and he was all smiles Sunday when talking about the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The junior offensive tackle joined Ohio State targets Chris Worley (2013), Erick Smith (2014) and Marshon Lattimore (2014) at The Horseshoe on Saturday to watch Ohio State complete a perfect season in a 26-21 win over Michigan.
But unlike trips past, Jones and the Glenville bunch saw a different look to the Buckeyes this time around.
“It was more exciting and more serious,” Jones said. “You could see the seniors working hard and how dedicated they were to the team. It was a good game.”
Jones was on hand to watch the offensive line, while Worley and Smith had their eyes on the linebackers and safeties. Lattimore had a keen eye on Devin Smith and Corey Brown at receiver.
All came back with positive evaluations.
“They got the ‘W.' It was nice,” Jones said. “We all left with a good feeling about the Buckeyes.”
Lattimore and Jones both have offers from the Buckeyes as does Worley, who has Ohio State in his final five. Smith has Ohio State interest.
