Ohio State offers 2016 DE Nick Bosa

By Brad Bournival

Might there be another Bosa headed to Ohio State in four years?

That remains to be seen, but the Buckeyes threw their hat in the ring early with an offer to freshman defensive end Nick Bosa (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas).

Bosa is certainly not a strange last name to recruiting cirles as his brother Joey Bosa is an Under Armour All-American, ESPN 150 defensive tackle and 2013 Ohio State commit. His father, John Bosa was a a first-round pick by the Miami Dolphins in the 1987 NFL Draft.

But Nick is already his own man.

“The offer is well deserved,” Aquinas coach Rocco Casullo said. “I think by the end of four years, Nick Bosa will be a name that everybody knows across the country. He’s a good-looking kid. He’s had a great year for us.”

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound defensive end has 19 tackles through nine games this season, but what sticks out even more are his team-leading 10 tackles for loss -- a statistic he shares with his brother Joey. Five of those 10 tackles for loss have come in the last three games.

He’s also forced a fumble and recovered one as well for the Raiders, who clinched a playoff spot last week with a 53-0 victory over Cooper City.
