Dominique Booth is here, OSU goes nuts

By Brad Bournival

Dominique Booth (Indianapolis/Pike) said he walked away impressed with Indiana after an unofficial visit Saturday during Ohio State’s 52-49 win.

“It showed me how much better they pass the ball,” Booth told ESPN.com about the Hoosiers, who have offered the junior wide receiver. “I guess it did help them a lot.”

The truth of the matter is the Buckeyes might want to put the ESPN Watch List wide receiver in their back pocket before they ever take the field again. Booth has seen Ohio State three times this year -- once in Columbus against California, once at Michigan State and once at Indiana -- and all three times the Buckeyes have turned it on offensively.

While the squad has won by a combined total of 11 points in those three games, every time Booth sees Ohio State, the offense goes bananas.

The Buckeyes are averaging 457.7 yards total offense, have passed on average for 217.7 yards and have scored 34.7 points per game when he’s around. The high point -- obviously -- came Saturday when the squad amassed 578 yards total offense in a squeaker.

The high passing marks surprisingly came when Ohio State hosted Cal in a 35-28 win. There, the Buckeyes threw for 249 yards and 4 passing touchdowns. They’ve thrown 8 touchdown passes with the 6-foot-1, 195-pound Booth in attendance.

Of the four mentioned schools, Ohio State is the only one that hasn't offered Booth yet.
