RB Elliott shines among OSU pledges

The statistics of Ezekiel Elliott (St. Louis/John Burroughs) are becoming mind-boggling.

The senior running back carried 11 times for 87 yards and scored three touchdowns to add to an already eye-popping season total of 28 scores this season. Elliott, who has 70 touchdowns in his last 22 games, also had an interception in John Burroughs’ 56-0 win over Clayton.

Here’s how the other 16 Ohio State commits fared over the weekend:

J.T. Barrett: Rider quarterback sidelined with torn ACL/meniscus. Team beat Lake Dallas 26-7.

Marcus Baugh: A tight end from John W. North (Riverside, Calif.), his team beat Valley View 17-10.

Joey Bosa: Defensive tackle shut out South Broward in 48-0 win by Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas.

Cam Burrows: Cornerback held Troy (Ohio) to 56 yards passing and one score through the air in Trotwood-Madison's 42-14 win.

Tim Gardner: Offensive tackle kept Lawrence Central (Ind.) undefeated in 31-7 win over Bloomington North and helped team to 5A postseason playoff against Southport next week. Central already beat Southport 47-6 on Sept. 28 this season.

Michael Hill: Defensive tackle from South Carolina recovered a fumble in Pendleton’s 34-7 win over Carolina Academy. According to his Twitter account, he broke and dislocated ring finger in the game.

Taivon Jacobs: Suitland wide receiver had three catches for 45 yards and added two touchdowns in a 46-6 win over High Point (Md.)

Darron Lee: Quarterback rushed for 92 yards for New Albany (Ohio) in 17-6 victory over Big Walnut. Slated to play safety for Ohio State.

Tyquan Lewis: Defensive end/linebacker held Southwest Edgecombe to 211 yards total offense and only 24 yards through the air in 43-22 win by Tarboro (N.C.).

Evan Lisle: Offensive tackle helped Centerville (Ohio) gain 160 yards total offense in 26-10 loss to Huber Heights Wayne.

Jalin Marshall: Athlete was 4-for-18 for 39 yards and touchdown and rushed for 165 yards and score in Middletown’s 27-14 loss to Lakota West (Ohio).

Billy Price: Defensive tackle held Marion (Ohio) Harding to 107 yards passing in 68-7 win by Austintown Fitch.

Tracy Sprinkle: Defensive tackle had six tackles – two for loss -- one sack and three quarterback hurries in Elyria’s 49-13 win over Stow (Ohio).

Jayme Thompson: Safety made 11 tackles and broke up twp passes in Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic’s 49-21 win over Toledo St. John’s.

Johnny Townsend: Punter and Boone (Orlando, Fla.) beat Ocoee 30-23 to even its record at 3-3 as Townsend had one free kick of 54 yards with a 4.6-second hang time.

Eli Woodard: Cornerback and Eastern beat Clearview (N.J.) 36-20 to improve to 4-2 on season.
