OT Dorian Johnson loved Ohio State

By Brad Bournival

Offensive tackle Dorian Johnson (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon) liked his experience at Ohio State so much, the ESPN 150 recruit would like to make another trip to The Horseshoe in a few weeks.

In town Saturday for the Buckeyes’ 63-38 win over Nebraska, Johnson -- who is ranked second in the nation at his position and No. 27 overall -- has already started talking about coming back on Nov. 24 for the Michigan game. The 6-foot-6, 285-pound Johnson isn’t sure whether or not it will be an official visit, but he knows he wants to see the campus again.

“I actually talked to the coaches the other day about coming up for it,” Johnson said. “Me and my family are going to try and come up for that game.”

After decommitting from Penn State, Johnson gave a top three of Pittsburgh, Ohio State and Virginia Tech and later said that was that was his order of interest. It’s still the same, but he was completely blown away by the atmosphere at Ohio State, saying it was better than the time he saw Pittsburgh play Virginia Tech at Heinz Field on Sept. 15.

“I really liked my visit,” Johnson said. “I went one other time in the summer, but to see the game and the atmosphere was great.

“The stadium was packed. I had a good time. The Pitt-Virginia Tech game, there was a decent amount of people and it was pretty loud, but I’ve got give it to Ohio State. I’ve never seen anything like that before. I thought it was crazy. They played well. Just getting to be there was memorable.”

Johnson said he isn’t in any hurry to make a final decision and will wait things out until it feels right.
