Friday Night Lights : The Visitors, Part 3

By Brad Bournival

Editor’s note: This is the third in a three-part series detailing some of the big visitors scheduled to be at The Horseshoe Friday.

As was the case last year, there are some monster names headed to the event in hopes of catching the eye of Urban Meyer and maybe grabbing an offer.

Last year, Tim Gardner committed after the camp and Tyquan Lewis brought his family to meet the coaches before picking the Buckeyes two months later.

A list of scheduled visitors can be found here. As always, the names are subject to change and often do at the last minute.

Here are the five biggest names scheduled to attend:

Raekwon McMillan
Ohio State looks to wow Raekwon McMillan and his family during their extended stay this weekend.
ILB Raekwon McMillan (Hinesville, Ga./Liberty County)
6-foot-2, 249
ESPN 300 rank: 13
Junior statistics: 15 tackles, 7 sacks, interceptions

The skinny: This might be the most important visit for Ohio State and McMillan. He’s probably the biggest target on the Buckeyes’ board and is bringing his family and sticking around until Tuesday. It’s very important for Urban Meyer and Co. to make this trip memorable.

QB Eric Glover-Williams (Canton, Ohio/McKinley)
5-10, 155
ESPN Junior 300 rank: 29
Sophomore statistics: 75-of-154, 1,114 yards, 12 touchdowns, 243 attempts, 1,810 yards, 22 touchdowns

The skinny: The Buckeyes were quick to jump on Glover-Williams, offering him back on Dec. 7 during a big Ohio State official visit weekend for the 2013 recruits. Ohio State is in very good standing with the junior standout.

RB Donte Thomas-Williams (Durham, N.C./Hillsdale)
6-0, 217
ESPN 300 rank: 46
Junior statistics: 750 yards rushing, 6 touchdowns

The skinny: Thomas-Williams joined teammate Trevion Thompson on a visit a few months ago and loved everything about Ohio State. He has a final four of Clemson, Florida State, Notre Dame and West Virginia, so getting him back on campus is big for the Buckeyes.

ATH Marshon Lattimore (Cleveland/Glenville)
6-0, 179
ESPN 300 rank: 49
Junior statistics: 57 attempts, 291 yards rushing, 32 catches, 483 yards, 17 total touchdowns

The skinny: Alabama wowed Lattimore so much, he’s ready to take an official visit for the LSU game. That said, this won’t be his first rodeo with the Buckeyes, as he’s visited plenty of times. This camp is important in getting Lattimore to forget all about the Crimson Tide and start thinking Buckeyes again.

OLB Dante Booker Jr. (Akron, Ohio/St. Vincent-St. Mary)
6-3, 212
ESPN 300 rank: 156
Junior statistics: 81 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 6 sacks, 2 interceptions

The skinny: He’s a Buckeyes pledge and a very strong one at that. He’s also a recruiter for Ohio State and is one of 12 slated to be there. His presence could help in landing a recruit or two.
