Ohio State is taking advantage of the new reaches of the Big Ten footprint.

The Buckeyes offered another East Coast product Thursday, sending out a scholarship to Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph athlete Kiy Hester. Assistant coach Ed Warriner, who recruits New Jersey for Ohio State, was in the school Thursday. Urban Meyer and the staff made several stops to St. Joseph and New Jersey since December.

“They came in and been to my school a lot the last month. Urban Meyer came in, but I couldn’t talk to them or see them [due to NCAA rules],” the 6-foot-2, 195-pound Watch List prospect said. “The coaches said they were impressed with me and liked me but were still waiting to see my film.”
