With 21 commitments in the class of 2013, there remains a precious few left to fill at Ohio State.
That said the Buckeyes haven’t backed off at all, indicating they are far from being finished.
Urban Meyer was on hand to congratulate Trey Johnson (Lawrenceville, Ga./Central Gwinnett) after the inside linebacker picked Ohio State over Florida and Tennessee at the Under Armour All-America Game. There’s no doubt the two-time national champion gave Vonn Bell (Ridgeland, Ga./Rossville) a "hello" as the ESPN 150 safety is the biggest target on the Buckeyes’ radar.
Bell will be in Columbus, Ohio, this weekend on an official visit in what should be very important for the Buckeyes.
With James Quick (Louisville, Ky./Trinity) choosing Louisville over Ohio State, the Buckeyes are looking hard at the wide receiver and slot position.
Shelton Gibson (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights), Cornelius Elder (Nashville, Tenn./Ensworth) and Ryan Timmons (Frankfort, Ky./Franklin County) are scheduled to join Bell on official visits.
All three have Ohio State high on their lists, though Timmons doesn’t have an offer from the Buckeyes just yet.
Christopher Worley (Cleveland/Glenville), who is being looked at as a linebacker, is another name to watch. Worley has Ohio State in the mix and will also make an official visit this weekend.
The Buckeyes are still looking on the offensive line, but need to sway already-committed seniors in order to fill a position of need.
Hunt is a California commit, but is trying to finalize an official visit with Ohio State. Skipper is a Tennessee commit and has an official visit with the Buckeyes lined up for Jan. 19.
