ESPN 150 linebacker Trey Johnson (Lawrenceville, Ga./Central Gwinnett), who was at the airport Sunday following an official visit to Ohio State, did not want to discuss the dismissal of Auburn head coach Gene Chizik.
"I do not want to talk about anything specific yet," Johnson said. "I want to wait and see who they bring in and continue to take my visits."
The No. 96 prospect in the country did have nice things to say about his time in Columbus, Ohio.
I loved the game atmosphere, facilities and the staff," Johnson said. "My dad liked it a lot, too. Linebacker is their priority and I could play there next year."
Next up for the 6-foot-1, 215-pound linebacker will be officials to Florida Dec. 14 and to USC on Jan. 18. Trojans recruiting coordinator Ed Orgeron is expected to visit Johnson for an in-home visit on Tuesday. Johnson finished his senior season with 139 tackles, three sacks, one interception return for a touchdown and four forced fumbles.
