Cleveland Glenville could miss the playoffs for a second straight season, but Christopher Worley is not yet giving up hope.
“We've got to come out stronger for the rest of the year and ... keep winning, don’t give up, keep the faith and keep working hard and see where it takes us,” Worley said.
After his team missed the playoffs last season, the three-star outside linebacker has put off recruiting for the time being. He does not plan to take official visits until after the season, and he doesn't know which schools, besides Ohio State, will get an official visit.
The No. 25 player in Ohio will make an unofficial visit this weekend, however.
“I’m going to the Nebraska-Ohio State game,” he said.
Buckeyes coaches Urban Meyer, Stan Drayton and Everett Withers have kept in contact with Worley, ranked No. 42 nationally among outside linebackers.
Several BCS programs, including Arkansas, Cincinnati, Illinois and Michigan State have offered Worley, and North Carolina recently have shown significant interest. The Tar Heels staff is waiting to take a look at Worley’s film.
