Shelton Gibson looking at five; OSU ahead

August, 28, 2012
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio -- The Buckeyes are still the team to beat for Shelton Gibson (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights), but the speedy ESPN 300 receiver is still planning to take the process well into his senior season and possibly past it.

“Ohio State is still my top school,” said Gibson, who has been leaning the Buckeyes’ way since early spring. “The only thing now is I just want focus on high school. I’m still on recruiting and everything but just more focused on my high school career.”

The top receiver in Ohio and No. 196 overall nationally, Gibson has not set any official visits, but he wants to make it to Ohio State on Sept. 15. Gibson has not talked with Urban Meyer since Friday Night Lights, but he called Stan Drayton the morning before his game Friday.
