CLEVELAND -- A little less than 11 months ago, Marcelys Jones (Cleveland/Glenville) made a commitment to play for Ohio State. That pledge solidified a little more when he signed his mid-year agreement with the Buckeyes last week.

In doing so, Jones put forth the idea of becoming the first Tarblooders standout to enroll early since Pro Bowl safety Donte Whitner signed with Ohio State in 2003. It also put to rest the thought that he would decommit from the Buckeyes and go somewhere else, for now.
