Barrett sees Elite 11 as proving ground

J.T. Barrett (Wichita Falls, Texas/Rider) will use this week’s Elite 11 finals as a proving ground of sorts.

Not that the 2013 dual-threat quarterback has to turn a lot of heads as he has a scholarship from Ohio State already in hand, but the 6-foot-1, 205-pound Barrett is ready to show off his arm.

Playing in a run-heavy offense, Barrett’s wing was used just as much as his feet in 2011.
