Zach Perry/intersportOhio State commit Jalin Marshall is one of five Ohio State commits at the Under Armour All-America game.
It started with Cam Burrows bending his ear and is continuing with Jalin Marshall speaking scarlet and gray to Bell. Marshall is also all over ESPN 150 linebacker Trey Johnson as he prepares for Friday’s Under Armour All-America Game as one of five Ohio State commits to play in the sixth annual contest.

Incidentally, Marshall will be in Bell’s ear again Jan. 11 when the two take an official visit to Ohio State as well.

Being the mouthpiece has always been a part of Marshall’s game since he gave his pledge to Ohio State on Jan. 30. He continued to hit the recruiting ranks after Oct. 19 when he accepted his Under Armour jersey.

Marshall will head to Columbus as an athlete and the Buckeyes plan to utilize him in the slot as well as many other positions. It’s a role the ESPN 150 senior -- ranked 78th overall -- has embraced.

Given the fact he rushed for rushed for 1,421 yards, passed for 765 yards and scored 25 total touchdowns -- an average of 218.6 yards and 2.5 scores per game -- shows how strong Marshall was in Middletown’s run-heavy offense last season. His 4.42-second 40-yard dash time will fit well in Urban Meyer’s spread, as well as his attitude to learn as he goes.
