Ohio State will get a second chance to wow the No. 2 offensive tackle in the nation.
And if that impression is anything like the first, Buckeyes fans can expect Dorian Johnson (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon) to be floored. Johnson confirmed he will be visiting Ohio State for the Michigan game on Nov. 24.
“I’m definitely going to that game,” he said.
The 6-foot-5, 285-pound senior, who is ranked 27th overall in the ESPN 150, has kept Ohio State in his top three along with Pittsburgh and dark horse candidate Virginia Tech.
Johnson was at the Nebraska game on Oct. 6 for the Buckeyes’ 63-38 win over the Cornhuskers and called it one of the most amazing experiences of his life.
“The stadium was packed,” Johnson said. “I had a good time. The Pitt-Virginia Tech game, there was a decent amount of people and it was pretty loud, but I’ve got to give it to Ohio State. I’ve never seen anything like that before. I thought it was crazy. They played well. Just getting to be there was memorable.”
It bumped Ohio State up quite a bit in Johnson’s eyes, though the Panthers are still ahead in the race.
Might that change with another visit? Johnson is expecting an even wilder atmosphere when he sees the Buckeyes again.
“I think that game is going to be 10 times crazier than the first one just because it’s probably one of the biggest rivalries in college football,” he said.
