How OSU commits fared this weekend

Ezekiel Elliott (St. Louis/John Burroughs) was at it again in a 56-14 win over St. Louis Lutheran North.

The versatile Elliott scored on runs of 7, 29, 56 and 62 yards and returned a punt for a score as well. He finished a shortened evening with 224 yards on 11 carries.

J.T. Barrett: Quarterback erased three-point deficit in Rider’s 26-17 win over Amarillo. Barrett was 15-of-27 for 206 yards with touchdown and added 119 yards rushing on 22 carries with score in waning seconds of contest.

Marcus Baugh: Was held out of end zone in JW North’s 38-7 loss to Citrus Hill.

Joey Bosa: Defensive tackle made six tackles in St. Thomas Aquinas’ 20-10 loss to Don Bosco Prep.

Cam Burrows: Cornerback held Kettering Fairmont to touchdown in 52-6 victory to even Trotwood-Madison's record at 2-2.

Tim Gardner: Offensive tackle was Isaiah Townsend’s best friend in 42-0 win by Lawrence Central over Columbus North. Behind his burly tackle, Townsend gained 225 yards. Alex Rodriguez also rushed for 113 yards.

Michael Hill: Defensive tackle and Pendleton couldn’t make defensive stop in first overtime and lost 35-28 to Chesnee in two extra-session affair.

Darron Lee: Quarterback was 3-of-6 for 93 yards with two touchdowns and ran nine times for 136 yards with four scores in 55-33 win over Olentangy Orange. Recruited by Ohio State at safety.

Evan Lisle: Offensive tackle was backbone of Centerville team that rushed for 345 yards and passed for 242 yards in 28-19 win over Lebanon.

Taivon Jacobs: Wide receiver made three catches for 75 yards with touchdown and ran three times for 47 yards in 41-0 win over Parkdale.

Jalin Marshall: Athlete ran 10 times for 91 yards and scored two touchdowns. Also went 7-of-15 through air for 40 yards with touchdown in Middletown’s 41-26 win over Fairfield.

Billy Price: Defensive tackle recorded sack in Austintown Fitch’s 45-0 win over Barberton.

Tracy Sprinkle: Defensive tackle recorded six tackles -- three for loss -- four quarterback hurries and added sack in Elyria’s 41-14 win over Strongsville.

Jayme Thompson: Safety held Oregon Clay standout Damon Dominique to 118 rushing yards in 56-19 win by Toledo Central Catholic.

Johnny Townsend: Punter’s Boone team won 44-26 in comeback fashion to stay undefeated.

Eli Woodard: Cornerback and Voorhees allowed one receiving touchdown in 39-13 loss to Timber Creek.
