Shelton Gibson (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) isn’t the only Tiger with his eyes on the Buckeyes.
Athlete De’Niro Laster, who will most likely play wide receiver at the next level though he looks strong at linebacker, broke out his top five on Friday after a 41-21 win over Bedford.
“There could be a decision before the season is over,” Laster said. “Louisville, Pitt, Ohio State, West Virginia and Nebraska are all on the list.
“They’ve always been there. They’ve always wanted me. They’re all top five programs. I just don’t have a final order yet.”
The three-star Laster, who transferred from Shaker Heights in the offseason, doesn’t have an offer from any of the five but believes all are real close to making one.
The versatile 6-foot-2, 218-pound Laster can even play tight end depending on the school he picks.
But one thing is for certain -- he’s not looking to make a snap decision as he takes official and unofficial visits.
“I’ll just wait a little bit longer,” Laster said. “I’ve really learned how to be a team player and put the team first. Right now, I’m set on going to state and seeing how far we can go.”
