Buckeyes earn high APR marks

June, 20, 2012
Ohio State posted the fourth-highest Academic Progress Rate among all Football Bowl Subdivision teams, and the athletic department had plenty of other scores to feel good about when the NCAA released the numbers.

The unveiling Wednesday revealed three Ohio State squads with scores of 1,000 to go along with an impressive 988 in football.

Men's and women's tennis earned perfect scores from the NCAA, joined by women's volleyball. The Buckeyes had previously received public recognition from the NCAA for finishing with an APR in the top 10 percent of all teams in football.

Some other notable numbers for the Buckeyes:

Men's basketball: 962

Baseball: 980

Men's hockey: 993

Men's soccer: 983

Men's golf: 991

Softball: 995

Women's basketball: 993
