Smile, Ohio State fans. Your team is No. 2.

At least that's where the Buckeyes sit in the new Associated Press and USA Today coaches' polls. The Harris Poll will be out later tonight along with the all-important BCS standings. But since the Harris voters rarely differ from their counterparts, it looks pretty safe to say that Ohio State will be No. 2 in the BCS and in prime position to play for a national championship. The Buckeyes hold a slim vote over Auburn in both polls, but they did get four first-place votes from the coaches.

Of course, the Buckeyes first have to get by surging Michigan State. The Spartans are now officially a top-10 team in the polls. If they can stay in the top-14 even with a loss on Saturday, they should be going to the Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO. Or they can just win in Indianapolis to remove all doubt.

To the polls:

Associated Press

2. Ohio State
10. Michigan State
21. Wisconsin

Receiving votes: Iowa (30th), Minnesota (33rd)

USA Today coaches

2. Ohio State
9. Michigan State
21. Wisconsin

Receiving votes: Iowa (29th), Minnesota (33rd)
