Happy Thanksgiving from the Big Ten blog

November, 28, 2013
A few things we're thankful for on this Thanksgiving Day:
  • Rivalry week. Even if there's not a ton at stake in this weekend's game, there will be a lot of good old-fashioned hate at play.
  • Seniors. This will be the final game before bowl season (and in a few cases, final game, period) for some truly outstanding players around the league, including but certainly not limited to Illinois’ Nathan Scheelhaase, Iowa’s James Morris, Michigan’s Taylor Lewan, Minnesota’s Ra’Shede Hageman, Northwestern’s Kain Colter, Penn State’s John Urschel and Wisconsin’s Chris Borland. And we could go on and on and on. Appreciate these guys while you can.
  • Our readers. You're there every day, rain or shine, ready to keep us honest and let us know how you feel. We're 93,000 strong on Twitter and counting.
  • And, lastly, we're thankful to take our first break from football since August so that we can enjoy Thanksgiving with our families. No blogging today unless there's major breaking news. No chat from Adam. We'll be back on Friday, when coverage will include the Heroes Game between Iowa and Nebraska. Until then, have a safe and wonderful holiday.
