Defensive end Jalen Jelks (Phoenix/Desert Vista) planned to wait until after his senior season to make a verbal commitment. As it turned out, the 6-foot-5, 246-pound defensive end put an end to his recruitment the day before his season begins.

Jelks and his Desert Vista teammates have their first day of team camp tomorrow, and Jelks will do so as the newest member of the 2014 Oregon recruiting class.
