Pac-12 recruiting storylines: July 12

July, 12, 2013
Recruiting never takes a summer vacation, and this week is more evidence of that. From the pursuit of several ESPN 300 talents to a monster event at Huntington Beach (Calif.) Edison, here's what Pac-12 fans need to know from the week that was and the weekend to come:

Battle at the Beach
Huntington Beach (Calif.) Edison will host its annual passing tournament on Saturday and although it’s one of the last of the season, it promises to be worth the wait. Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco’s terrific talent will be on display, led by 2015 quarterback Josh Rosen, as well as Cal-bound athlete Jaleel Wadood and Arizona-bound cornerback Naijiel Hale. ESPN 300 prospects Adoree’ Jackson (Gardena, Calif./Serra) and John "JuJu" Smith (Long Beach, Calif./Poly) are scheduled to be there, and Washington commit Jonathan Lockett (Santa Ana, Calif./Mater Dei) will look to help orchestrate another strong summer showing for the Monarchs.
