With a run of seven commitments in the span of six weeks ending July 2, Oregon was on a recruiting roll. Since that time the Ducks have been stagnant while USC and Washington have cleaned up.

Oregon has never been a fast starter in recruiting. Heading into the season with eight commitments is the norm for the Ducks. With many of their top prospects off the board, the Ducks have had to regroup and move some targets up their board.

Quarterback: The Ducks will likely stick with what they have and are in pursuit of quarterbacks for the class of 2014.

Running back: Alvin Kamara (Norcross, Ga./Norcross) Derrick Green (Richmond, Va./Hermitage), Craig Lee (Redlands, Calif./Redlands), Terrell Newby (West Hills, Calif./Chaminade) and Laray Smith (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xaverian) are the targets with Green and Kamara leading the way.

Wide receiver: James Quick (Louisville, Ky./Trinity), John Ross (Long Beach, Calif./Jordan) and Juwaan Williams (Tucker, Ga./Tucker) are the three main targets for the Ducks. Ricky Seals-Jones (Sealy, Texas/Sealy), Devon Allen (Phoenix, Ariz./Brophy Prep) and Robert Foster (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley) are all being pursued, but Seals-Jones and Allen have yet to receive official Oregon offers.

Tight end: The Ducks recently issued an offer to rising star Thomas Duarte (Santa Ana, Calif./Mater Dei). Duarte looks to be the only tight end on the Ducks' board with the solid commitment from Johnny Mundt (Modesto, Calif./Central Catholic).

Offensive line: J.D. Hinnant (Fountain Valley, Calif./Fountain Valley), Thomas Oser (North Hollywood, Calif./Harvard-Westlake) and Bobby Billingsley (Memphis, Tenn./East) have been the top three targets to date. Hinnant recently released a top four of Oregon, Cal, Nebraska and Duke. Billinglsey has yet to receive an offer but is the top backup on the Ducks' board.

Defensive line: Oregon is swinging for the fences with offers out to Montravius Adams (Vienna, Ga./Dooly County) and Jay-nard Bostwick (Port St. Lucie, Fla./Centennial). Oregon is also in hot pursuit of northern California prospects Austin Hooper (Concord, Calif./De La Salle) and Vita Vea (Milpitas, Calif/Milpitas).

New names have emerged, as DE Wyatt Teller (Bealeton, Va./Liberty) and Ole Miss DT commit Marquel Combs (Woodland Hills, Calif./Pierce College) have both gained interest as of late.

Linebacker: The Ducks seem focused on Victor Egu (Concord, Calif./De La Salle) and Tyrell Robinson (San Diego, Calif./Lincoln) for the linebacker spots. Johnny Ragin (Wilsonville, Ore./Wilsonville) and Evan Colorito (Beaverton, Ore./Beaverton) are in-state athletes who could see increased interest soon. Ragin emerged this summer and could be the next Oregon offer and possible commit.

D.J. Moffitt (Concord, Calif./De La Salle) and Marshaun Daniel (Tustin, Calif./Tustin) are both waiting in the wings and have the eyes of the Oregon coaching staff. Washington State commit Ivan McLennan (Torrance, Calif./El Camino College) was recently offered and could visit Oregon this fall.

Defensive back: Priest Willis (Tempe, Ariz./Marcus De Niza), Tahaan Goodman (Rancho Cucamonga,Calif./Rancho Cucamonga) and Tyree Robinson are the top safety targets. Leon McQuay (Seffner, Fla./Armwood) was recently offered by the Ducks and has expressed interest in at least visiting this fall.

USC commit Chris Hawkins (Rancho Cucamonga,Calif./Rancho Cucamonga) is the prime target at cornerback, along with Willis, who can play anywhere in the backfield.

Brandon Arnold (Encino, Calif./Crespi) and teammate Tyler Foreman (Encino, Calif./Crespi) are two safety prospects to watch. Foreman was waiting for an offer from USC, but that never happened. An Oregon offer would likely shake up his recruitment.
