Stanford moves up to fifth in both polls

November, 10, 2013
Stanford is fifth in both the AP and coaches' poll after beating Oregon on Thursday, and the Ducks fell from second to sixth in the AP poll and seventh in the coaches.

Stanford was sixth in both polls last week, but it was fifth in the BCS standings.

Both polls have the same top five: 1. Alabama; 2. Florida State; 3. Ohio State; 4. Baylor; 5. Stanford. The coaches have Clemson sixth, ahead of the Ducks. That could be the matchup in the Discover Orange Bowl, if both teams win out.

UCLA is No. 13 in the AP poll and No. 15 with the coaches after winning at Arizona. Arizona State is 21st in the AP poll and 22nd with the coaches.

The Bruins and Sun Devils play on Nov. 23 in the Rose Bowl, a game that might determine the Pac-12's South Division.
